Your questions, answered.
Straight answers about polyurethane concrete raising, cost, and what to expect.
Common questions
How is polyurethane raising different from mudjacking?
Both methods drill holes and pump material under the slab. Polyurethane foam is lightweight, sets rigid, and never shrinks, and it needs fewer, smaller holes (3/8 inch or 5/8 inch rather than 1 inch). The repair is nearly invisible and adds far less stress to weak soil.
Will you drive heavy equipment across my lawn?
No. Our trucks stay parked on the street. For polyurethane repairs a hose runs from the truck to the slab, so nothing heavy crosses your lawn.
What concrete cannot be lifted?
Solid slabs can be raised and stabilized. Gravel or blacktop has to be replaced, and slabs that are severely cracked may be too damaged to lift. We will tell you honestly which category you are in.
How much does raising cost compared to replacement?
Concrete raising is generally about half the cost of replacing a slab. Over the years we have saved customers more than $20 million versus full replacement.
Is the work guaranteed?
Yes. All of our concrete lifting comes with a 5-year warranty.
How big are the holes, and will I see them?
Polyurethane uses 3/8 inch or 5/8 inch holes, far smaller and fewer than mudjacking’s 1 inch holes. Once we patch them, the repair is nearly invisible.
How long does it take, and when can I use it?
Most jobs are completed the same day, and the slab is ready to use right away once it reaches level.
Do I need foam plugs?
No. With polyurethane, the foam itself acts as a built-in shock absorber, so separate plugs are not needed.
Why it pays
Cost benefits of raising vs. replacement
Lower labor and service costs
No demolition, haul-off, re-pour, or curing. You pay for a targeted lift, not a full rebuild.
Minimal impact on your property
No heavy demolition and no torn-up landscaping. Most of your yard never gets touched.
Less risk and disruption
A faster, lower-risk job means less chance of injury and far less disruption to your day.
